How can I pay?
It is possible to pay on the site by credit card or you can choose to book the ticket and pay at the cash desk when you present the ticket with the QR Code
I booked a visit to the botanical garden, how does it work?
Once you have completed your booking you will receive an email from the botanical garden which will contain your booking details and a PDF file with a QR Code .
Present the QR Code at the ticket office to access the botanical garden.
With online payment, your queue at the ticket office will be much shorter and you will just need to show the QR Code to access the botanical garden.
What can I visit at the Botanical Garden Museum of Rome?
At the Botanical Garden Museum you will find a very rich variety of plant species from all over the world and organized in specific collections . The Botanical Garden occupies an area of 12 hectares on the slopes of the Janiculum and hosts various collections of over 2500 species. In the Garden there are also numerous archaeological finds, four fountains of uncertain period, two fountains referable to the eighteenth century (the Fountain of the Tritons and the Fountain of the Undici Zampilli, the latter inserted in the Staircase created by Fuga as a perspective backdrop for the entire park). There are also three historic greenhouses (Corsini Greenhouse, French Greenhouse and Monumental Greenhouse).
How long does a visit to the Museum last?
The guided tour lasts approximately 90 minutes, while the laboratory activities have different durations depending on the type.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online (only on specific dates), or at the entrance at the time of the visit, paying in cash or by card or by bank transfer (this method is only possible for organized groups).
How can I pay for the tickets?
All credit cards are accepted online (service active only on certain dates), at the ticket office it is possible to pay in cash or by credit card or debit card.
Are there any discounted rates?
Children aged 6 to 11, seniors aged 65 and over, and members of affiliated organizations are entitled to the reduced rate, while children aged 0 to 5, disabled people and their companion, Sapienza staff and students enter. for free. For groups of at least 20 people, the ticket costs €4.00 per person.

Yes, the supplement is €4.00 per person for groups of 10 to 19 people, and €2.00 for groups of 20 participants or more.
On Saturdays and Sundays and during events and exhibitions, free guided tours are organized upon reservation.

You can request a change to the access date by sending an email to info-ortobotanico@uniroma1.it . There will be no refund in any case.

Yes, it is possible to eat inside the Garden while respecting the historical and museum character of the Garden. A refreshment area with some tables is open only on weekends.
Inside the Museum there is a vending machine for hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks.

No, there is no room for storing luggage.
Are animals allowed inside the Museum?
Animals are not permitted, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind.
What is the closest parking?
There are paid car parks on Lungotevere della Farnesina, furthermore near the Botanical Garden Museum there are paid underground car parks on the Gianicolo and Via Giulia.
Is wheelchair or stroller access to the garden permitted?
All avenues are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
The Tropical Greenhouse, part of the Giardino dei Semplici and the Japanese Garden, the French Greenhouse, the Corsini Greenhouse, the Eleven Fountains Staircase, the Rose Garden and part of the Bamboo area are not accessible.

Yes, you can take photographs for personal use without causing damage or disturbance to the flora and fauna that populate the Garden.
